About the Artist
Jess Herrera is a multidisciplinary artist from New Jersey and a first generation South American artist of Colombian and Ecuadorian heritage. With a background in sculpture and photography, her practice explores memory, cultural inheritance, and the emotional language of objects and space.
Frequent childhood travels throughout South America immersed her in the vibrant textile traditions of Ecuador, the saturated color palettes and craftsmanship of Colombia, and the rhythm and movement of Cumbia music woven through family, everyday life, and celebration. These dual influences, quiet observation, and cultural vibrancy-form the foundation of her visual language. They helped cultivate an enduring appreciation for bold expression, tactile materials, and the emotional resonance of handmade objects.
Her work is defined by bold color, expressive form, and material richness, embracing contrast, imperfection, and emotional depth. Lonewolv Home emerged from this intersection; a studio rooted in independence, intuition, and the belief that objects should carry presence, not just function.
Through Lonewolv Home, Jess creates sculptural home objects that resist restraint and lean into expressive form and sensory depth. Each piece invites a more personal way of living-one that favors individuality, atmosphere, and the unapologetic use of color and texture as a form of identity
